Is $1 over spot a decent price for Englehard bars? I can get a couple of 10 oz. and 4- 1oz. bars. I was hoping to just pay spot.

I am learning, and anyone can feel free to correct me, but I am learning that "spot price" only really applies to buying "paper silver" and has VERY little bearing on physical purchases.
IMHO: Good deal

Seems like the going market rate is usually 2 or 3 over spot. Go for it

I get bars of any type for spot from my dealer because he pays less and plays the spread.
A very regular customer too.
I am going to ask if he will trade the gold silver ratio even today.
Shop around and make a friend.

I think if you pay a small premium you'll be happy soon enough, if you don't... you'll have $27 lingering in your wallet long enough to regret it.

Humm sounds fair enough I imagine. Could you find it cheaper? I guess that depends on where your located and who your buying from. If you already don't have a cheap source, better to buy now than to wait around for a better deal like Big Daddy Ray is saying.......

Engelhards at or anywhere near spot are a steal! I just picked up a 10Oz'er the other day and when I asked the guy how much he told me 25.50 X 10. Spot was 25.67 when I walked into his shop and I felt like I robbed him a little.

You had better jump on that deal while you still can.
