eBay Gone Wild

Postby DuckTales253 » Thu May 10, 2012 7:41 am

I was watching this eBay auction this week. The title was **GREAT SILVER ASSORTMENT OF IKES,PEACE DOLLARS KENNEDY HALFS AND MORE**. At first it looked like one of those auctions where they have a pile of hidden coins made up to look mysterious and valuable, but it also contained photos of each coin individually. The title was a little misleading, as there was only one Peace Dollar (not "Dollars") and no other silver except one Mercury dime. The rest of the coins were common date Eisenhower dollars and Kennedy Halves.

So (1) silver dollar (1) silver dime and $9.50 in face value coins. I was in the bidding up to $36.00, and contemplated $38.00, figuring that with free shipping it would be a cheap silver dollar pickup. Unbelievable that the bidding went to $47.99!

he's a snake, go look at the rest of his "store"....toys, memorabilia....he's got a couple slabbed Morgans for sale.

People get fooled. you should check out US silver coins rolls on Ebay, of the 600 of so offered, at least 2/5th's to one half of all offered, are the "possible silver" crowd, trying to sell off rolls of clad halves, and now the're doing dimes also.

no honor in all that.....but on the bright side, this bit of "skooling: you got from that outbid didnt cost you a dime! its a good day, neil
