Buyer's Response Made My Day

Postby beauanderos » Fri May 11, 2012 3:14 pm

I've already posted feedback, but I want to go the extra distance on this one... I hope smartinson doesn't mind. This member recently purchased five rolls of 40% silver from me, and I shipped five rolls marked 65 - 69 to her. Or so I thought. She just emailed me to inform me that I accidentally included 13 14 90% half dollars by mistake. Obviously, I didn't take the time to check the rolls first (my bad, I was in a hurry). But she told me of the mistake. Not everyone would have taken that step, and you can be sure she will be rewarded with a generous discount on future dealings.

Just thought I would share some positive to offset some of the recent negativity bad deals with a few members have generated.

See, now I would've said there were 8 90%.

That way, you'd be happy, and I'd be happy. :P

Sounds like a great person to deal with. Did you let her keep it?

Your too kind Morsecode. I would have sent B a note saying there were 14 clads in the roll just to mess with him.

Then telling him the truth of course.

Smartinson you showed class and honor. You are definitely on my list of folks that I'd do business with.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

I just would have assumed Uncle Ray was making good on his birthright promises to his poor old nephew OBAAT. Actually I probably would never have caught the mistake as anything that comes from Ray gets mercilessly tossed into the horde (I mean casual collection) and promptly forgotten.

Always good to hear about the honest members.

I was sending someone 30 40% halves once. I grabbed 3 rolls thinking 10,20,30. Not thinking that I was getting $30 face or 60 40% haves.

Not only did the member send the extras back, he insisted that he would pay shipping. I even told him to keep 2 for the trouble but he wouldn't.

Yep, thought Ray had stuck in a few special halves for Mother's Day but then he didn't know I was a mother. I have had nothing but positive transactions with the few people I have bought from and I know that most of the members are great folks and would have done the same thing. It is sad a few have to mess up a good thing. I am one of the few female members that doesn't post much but enjoy just reading all the posts and information everyone has to share.

By the way, if I get a few dimes in a penny roll, I DO NOT RETURN THEM TO THE BANK.

Very cool. I like reading the good transaction stories here alot more than the bad ones. As others have said - 99% of the folks here are stand-up.

Thanks Ray for sharing. It is unfortunate when things go bad on the forum, however when things go well those strories usually are considered "business as usual". The majority of the folks here are awesome peeps. It only takes one or two slight of hand or slight of mouth folks to shake up everyone. I feel blessed to be a part of this forum. I have prayed throughout the recent issues on here that we would overcome. In reading Ray's story, I believe we, as a whole, are still the exception to the rule on the Internet. We are still the Mayberry of the coin forums. Thanks again for the story Ray! Thanks Smartinson for your honesty and integrity! God bless you both and God bless us all! :D
