Is scrap white gold worth the trouble? How is the best way to price it?

Gold is gold ! As long as it's hallmarked.

We buy it, but we're particularly cautious, and almost always acid test it. In our area, it seems to be something that is frequently faked with hallmarks, but if it's tested it's "good as gold".
