the ring is stamped with the omega symbol then 6.17, becouse the ring is pitted the decimal point could be nothing also stamped 750 and im sure that is 18k.So my question is what does the omega 6.17 mean?

Sounds like its just a makers mark, the manufacturer puts random hallmarks.
There is indeed a Watch and Jewelry Company Called Omega and uses Omega symbol as their trade mark, but I never of them making ring (they make watches and necklaces)
