getting rid of 40% for 90% +

This forum is for discussing hunting and collecting US and Canadian circulation Silver Bullion Coins, other types of minted bullion, and other types of precious and base metal investments other than Bullion Pennies and Nickels.

getting rid of 40% for 90% +

Postby theshoenlebens » Sun Aug 05, 2012 10:58 am

I know this has been discussed before but I'm leaning toward gettting rid of some 40% and buy purer stuff. I'll be getting rid of some of my 40% halfs and maybe some ikes. I just got in some new stuff from a member here but it is too pretty to sell. :D
I'll not be making ANY $$$ on this and will lose on it I'm sure but thinking I need more finer silver percentage coins. Look on Ebay or here if I decide to sell. Probably make a decision later today or tomorrow.

Let me know what you guys think.

Sounds like a fine idea, been thinking of doing the same thing though. I'll be watching for your sale to see if any interest.

I did the same thing about 2 years ago. Glad I did. 40% silver halves means 60% copper/nickel. a lot of extra weight to store in order to hold that silver portion.

I like this idea also. Provided you don't have to give up too much.

You might be able to do some direct swaps here or on BS at the right percentage of silver weight.
