I believe the only thing you are missing is that actually doesn't appear to be a proof...

Otherwise bad deal... someone either doesn't know what its worth, or is trying to exploit somone else who doesn't

I doubt the decimal error. The seller is asking $500 for the coin on 2 different sites.
