What do you think its grade is?

My not very educated guess is that your great find would grade 'fine' to 'very fine' numismatically. Congratulations on a great find no matter what it grades!!

i couldn't see the date very well ... but if that 3 cent nickle is dated in the 1880s it is quite valuable. if it is dated 1868, its much more common, but in good condition should still bring 20+ bucks, I think.
