I picked up some silver plate (I think it is plate...) items at an estate sale. They are stamped "Made in occupied Japan". Any one know anything about silver from occupied Japan?

You didn't say just what it was but, you may get a good idea of retail (below link) and it's is occupied as in occupied after WWII.
