Update: The buying may have been easy but the delivery might be questioned. Backordered until April, May, and June for 3 different of the above. You might easily guess which coin is for June.

My order was in at 3:15 pm with a delivery date of 4/11. Not to bad I guess. We'll see if that stands to be true.

I was at the Whitman Show in Baltimore this weekend and I saw the line for those who wanted to pick up their Baseball Coins. Some guy said some of the Baseball Coins were going for a couple of hundred on the dealer floor (for the Silver Proof) and they were going for over $500 on FeeBay. Not sure how accurate he was, or if those words were his way of trying to creatye a larger market for the initial issue. Either way, I missed out so I am just ordering and waiting like the rest of us. Oh well. I will get mine, and since I am keeping it forever, I am not sure I need to have it NOW! I did see the ones that the Mint had in the case. They do look cool.
If they give you lined paper, write the other way....

I just had a thought about these coins. The government skrews everything up. These coins are out of the ordinary, and there may be a fair number of mint errors. What do you guys think?

I saw two of the half dollars at the local coin shop yesterday. Has anyone else actually SEEN these in hand yet?

I'll bend my own coins, thank you. What's next? Perhaps coins in the shape of hockey pucks, stones (from curling) or ping pong balls? C'mon folks. The gimmicks are coming fast and furious.

So let's think about the Football shaped coins? Baseball has baseball on convex side and baseball glove on concave side.

Football shape on the convex side, and on the concave side.....a cup protector?

My reusable (rip me off) bag came in the mail. It's ok as far as bags go, but I'll not use it in public as it begs someone to rip me off if they can figure out where I live. "US MINT" in really big letters with Treasury Dept. logo and a Gold esque coin/token on both sides. To small and cheesy to use for groceries. I'm throwing it in a Goodwill box.

Your "I collect precious metals" bag, then... hmm... perhaps for in-home use only? Or maybe a nice May KSA item? :)

+1
My bag arrived today, all it needs is a flashing neon sign reading "Rob me Rob me Rob me". I wouldn't dare take it out in public.

I thought steroid use rendered them obsolete back in '98 ?!?!

I saw that and was not interested. The whole baseball card collecting market has tanked. These seem similar to baseball cards.
I like collecting Gold and Silver. I prefer the Silver stuff. God Bless You.

Got my clad proofs this week. My wife gets mad every time I order coins. She opened the box up and said, wow those are beautiful, why did you order only 3? I said I ordered them for each of our grandchildren. I have 10 silver proofs coming. If the wife likes them, then others will too. I told my wife if you like the clad ones, you really like the silver ones, which are a little larger.

Finally got the coins (to carry in my new bag) today.

I must say, the textured detail on the "glove" side is pretty impressive!

If nothing else, these coins are really Neat.

Just as a side note, have any of the grading companies agreed to slab these things? If they will make an oversized holder for some coins I think it would stand to argue that they could make a thicker one for these.

I never have been a big baseball guy and did not want to gamble on these baseball coins. Doh! The silver and gold ones are profitable flippers that is for sure.
