Decent silver buys at antique coin mall

Postby Pennysaved » Thu Jul 14, 2011 7:51 pm

I have seen the posts from people saying they are finding good deals at antique malls.

On my way to get my hair cut, I saw a large antique mall that I had never been in. Decided to stop by and see if I could find any deals.

There was a box of generic silver rounds marked $1 above spot

In the box, I found a 1992 American Eagle 1 oz round in a hard plastic case and 1 1989 Canadian Maple leaf with surface scratches; thought those were both pretty good deals for $1 above spot.

Also found:
1954 Switzerland 5 Franc --- $9 --- below melt
1915 Austria 1 Corona --- $4 --- below melt
1870 Spain 5 Pesata --- $35 --- paid above melt

I thought I didn't do too badly

Yeah they often only change their prices once a week so you can get great deals if your timing is right.
