I will think on this before voting, but at this time I am leaning towards $5.

Oh, for the smarty-pants on this forum, you can't use your wish to wish for three more wishes or other such silliness. This is a serious, scientific poll. Only those 18 years old and older are allowed to participate. Employees, contractors and the families of the Federal Reserve and other central banks around the globe are expressly prohibited from participating. Need not be present to win. Your mileage may vary. As seen on TV.
Let's also say that the price changes according to your wish and stays there for one week. After that, natural market forces take over (yeah, like that's ever gonna happen again while Bernanke/Summers are around...ROFL!) and the price goes to whatever.

Exactly the dilemma I'm facing. I need to buy something else, but I also want to build the stack.

Shin....I've only lived 50 plus years, but I've NEVER seen ALL the markets....as a whole trade like this. Ok, what's "this"?....This is very shaky, disconnected, schitzo...its almost like everybody KNOWS something is very wrong, and one can see the thunderheads looming in the distance, but human nature what it is, there's a kind of denial going on.....its almost like we all wish we could close our eyes, sleep, and tomorrow everything will be "okay".
But that's not ...reality.
alright, i'll say it: i'm at Defcon 1. Collapse is one headline away, I don't like the way US/Russian relations are playing out, that was a very ill advised move of the President to cancel the meeting with Putin....and world war 3 is upon us....and NONE of us wanted it. So, the trigger signal is this, if you see even the most basic of hostilities, between US and Russian troops.....BUG OUT. It will not stay conventional. Timing?...between 10 minutes and ten years, but its coming. It's punishment....for what? this is not the venue for that. one should get on their knees and ask God...He'll tell you....in the mean time, I proffer my prayers for everyone reads my words. n.

buy land.....rural, with wood and water.

The Chinese seem to be the bigger threat. In any event I think the attack (or shock) will be economic. Why would our potential enemies square off against a Marine division or an aircraft carrier group when they can just dump U.S. treasury bonds. In terms of technology, I'm afraid that War is already upon us; as both the U.S. private and public sectors are under constant cyber-attack from around the world.
BTW I choose $50. I think society is better served when commodity prices reflect reality.
68Camaro wrote:$5 then $50 would be fine with me. Regardless it'll hit $50 soon enough, no matter what it does in the interim.
edit:
And I suppose the difference in my behavior from some is that I'm not presuming I will be able to continue buying metal at any price, so I buy what I can when I can with what I have. Price be damned. I'm just looking for best value in the moment.

But after contemplating for a bit I realized the following:
- Silver will one day be worth $50, that is inevitable because of inflation and many other factors.
- Therefore there is no need to wish for that and with that knowledge I could buy a lot of $5 silver

That's a valid justification for your vote and now we're all tied up at 16 a piece.
