Dip sale didn't last long. I expect future smash-downs will not last long either.

It's interesting to watch. Each day (so far) the recovery from the smash down has happened faster and risen further than the previous day. I liken it to two boxers, one striking out with everything they have, the other doing the "rope-a-dope"- absorbing the punches, letting the fury die out, then coming back with all their energy still intact. Rinse, repeat, and if the rope-a-doper is smart and the opponent has no other tools, eventually the exhausted opponent capitulates. How long until smashdown capitulation?

I think we are too close to the free float event horizon for shorts to play like they are used to doing. It's been decades of anticipation and it's finally on the doorstep. We're on the precipice of a physical supply shock - a real silversqueeze is near.

I should add - we're already starting to see backwardation where the spot markets are overtaking the futures:

Might be seeing the daily smackdown in gold occurring (or just occurred) as i type this - if that was it, it doesn't appear to have been successful today (but it is early). And if they are going to try with silver today, it hasn't quite happened yet.

I guess that would make it a 44 year high.

I agree, but never underestimate the smash downs the TPTB will try to execute.

IMO silver is going to do one of two things:

1. Going to hit $50, then pullback and consolidate for a while in the mid/high $40's.

2. Smash through $50 then run to $60-70 very quickly.

I tend to think #2 is most likely.

It does feel different now but I think silver will hang around $50 for an extended time. There's resistance at 50 left over from the 1980s, plus 50 is a really big round number.

Right now I'm more interested in the GSR as I'm looking to make another swap when we visit the US next year. At this stage in life I'd much rather be in gold, and also another store of wealth, but I won't mention it in this thread. :shh:

Blew by 49 "finally", zooming to 49.2 as I type this.

China markets reopen tonight (Wed night USA = Thu day China). Heard an anecdotal report that silver investment demand in China is up 50% recently.

SLV is screaming warnings about stress/shortage in LBMA vaults. SLV borrow fee up to 11.49% today!

We're so close to the face ripping silversqueeze when the LBMA runs dry.

There was never any doubt. I predicted $50 silver before the end of the year back on June 6th (on the first page of this thread).
