Like Idahocopper - I too made a spreadsheet that I simply add to when another acquisition is made. I track total oz and it automatically calculates value based on spot price. I don't track what I paid, but that is an interesting idea. I do check a column to distinguish how much is found roll searching vs. purchase though. Right now, its about 20% roll searching and 80% purchase/trade.

I have a nice spreadsheet, but my shitty Dell mini 10 died a few weeks back and I haven'y been able to retrieve anything from it yet.

Need a new laptop so I can stop using my lady's one, but having recently had to replace both my Xbox which died and my big Sony television which also blew up, I'm a bit out of spare spends at the mo. I'm cursed I think (or incredibly static!).

Gear just doesn't last the way it used to.

Idaho - If you're spreadsheet is a good one, you could possibly put it up for download either for free or for a few bucks?

Devil SW - OK. I just tuned it up a bit, added some instructive notes to help make the Excel Spreadsheet easier to understand. Send me a PM with your email address to get a copy. I'll send it for free, and if anyone likes using it, they can "Gift" money to me via Paypal, or not. LOL

Thanks for the suggestion. Those are fake numbers.

I put the fake numbers in so you can see just how it calculates in the screenshot.

Be careful, Homeowner's Insurance has very small amounts that are covered for precious metals or for coins, usually about $250 unless you buy extra coverage.

I measure my penny hoard by the fraction of a ton. Everything else I measure by the pound.

Honestly, I don't have a clue. It's boring to count it all. It is a lot more fun to go acquire more of it! ;)
