I chose <$5, but I started my first dime book in 1961 and my first quarter book in 1963.
I think face value should have been a choice.

I bought several thousand dollars of silver when price was below $5, until wife got really mad at me.

I remember getting some Engelhard 100 oz poured bars. I got seven of them for less than $4 an ounce. Used to use them as door stops. :mrgreen:

I started in early 2012 when the spot price was about $32, boy have the prices changed.

Although I'm more recent than many here, I picked $5-$10 since I caught that brief moment when AG fell to about $9 an ounce in late 08/early 09.
