Local Coin show near me had dealers paying 18x face buying from the public.

Seems a bit excessive- first Eagles and then Generic 999. Both have kinda dropped.

Wonder if the supply of 90% is finally being hoarded enough or melted down enough to warrant scarcity

Only 18x face? There comes a point were selling to dealers like that makes no sense. If you need to, sell it privately or on Craig's List. You'll get a lot more than what a dealer gives you.

The bulk of my Ag is 90%. I always thought they're not making anymore of it, get all you can now while it's cheap and unloved.

When prices reach 40-50x face, maybe I'll let a few bags go. ;)

This past weekend I stopped by a local coin shop. He had 90% "junk silver " at $17.80. I inquired about ASE's and he had just sold his last five. He was buying them at $28.00.
I just looked at Apmex cheapest was $37.40

He was selling for 90% under spot or $17.80 over spot?

Apmex sent out a mass email last week saying they were paying $10 over spot for ASEs. Then they go and sell them at 100% over spot.

Highest Ag premiums ever. We're living through some historical sh*t here gents... and it's just getting started.

Mostly worn and slick were all he had.
I mentioned that Apmex e mail to him.
I have always done o.k. at this shop. It was pretty busy with buyers.

Apmex 90% premium is now back down to $6.99 over spot. Spot price rises, less buyers, inventory comes back, premiums come down.

I believe this decrease in premiums is only transitory... ya know, just like inflation is.

Won't buy anymore unless Ag gets back to the low teens. I believe this will happen in tandem with the next stock market dump.

Premiums will probably be at least 50% of spot then too.

I am actively accumulating Cu and nickels again. Not sure if I will buy Ag any more unless there are major deals and I have the cash....

Bothered by the idea of a digital dollar being forced on us and everything we buy or sell being required to use those digital dollars.

Seems like people don't even think we could be corralled even further and have no choice.

Catherine Austin Fitts says we need to keep using cash.

Premiums decreasing quite a bit across all bullion dealers. 90% premium still averaging around $6.99. I've noticed even SAEs have been coming down in price as well. Buying slowing as the Ag price rises, which forces premiums lower.

When the FOMO period finally happens, premiums will sky again to much higher levels... I predict we'll eventually see 200-300% over spot at some point.

Their mark-up on gold is stunning. 10 1/10th oz eagles will run you $2800...a mere $1000 over spot per ounce.

Yes, their prices on 1/10 oz ASGs is silly. If you have VIP status with Apmex they will price match any other online bullion dealer.

My by observations, SD Bullion lowers the price first which forces Apmex to follow. Apmex is huge too, about 3x the size of SD Bullion.

90% should be back to “normal” again. Wholesale bids are down to $2-3 over rather then the $10-12 over that it peaked at.

Thanks HR, I'm seeing the same thing.

I backed up the truck at $12-13 and paid $0.49 cents over spot during the March 2020 smash, just hours before premiums went ballistic. IMO, it's highly unlikely that 90% premiums will come back down to those levels.

When Ag breaks out of that $30 resistance area... to the moon Alice!

Converted some paper for commodities today.
90% sell price 21.6 grabbed some Mercury dimes and full weight Roosevelt's. Few nice Franklin's. (
Pre 1921 Morgan's were $36.00 each. (not in my budget)
Peace $32.00 each (not in my budget)
Dealer had a one tenth gold at $290.00 plus lots of other overpriced gold. It's still there waiting for someone else.

I specifically remember one particular visit to my LCS in the late 80's...

1921 Morgan's were $5 each, pre '21s were $6... all AU. Peace Dollars were $5 (including the 34's and 35's). I spent an entire month of my pay to buy everything he had, and I still have all of them. Baseball card mania was in full swing and nobody seemed to care about silver coins back then.

Ahhh, I miss the good old days.

Most big online sellers want $28.00-$30.00 for cull Morgan and peace.
What my dealer had for $32-$36 in peace and Morgan were just above cull grade . Anything decent was $40-$50.

I attended a gun show 2 months ago. Someone was selling about 50 Peace Dollars (F-XF) asking $36 each. I offered to buy all he had for $26 each. I showed him the cash to let him know I was legit. He declined, didn't even counter offer me.

JM is running a sale on circ Roosies for a mere 90% over melt...$32 per $1 face.

I suppose it looks like a deal to the typical ebay stacker.
