Since it's inevitable I'm willing to buy some bullion from WV coin now at $19, netting you an automatic profit! PM me :)

Silver is certainly closer to $zero than $49.

Silver is certainly approaching zero. I am talking about supply of course. I don't see the logic in measuring metal with a currency that only exists because of metal yet has forsaken its reason for being. Sure I need to know that number when I'm buying it, but that number will not have much impact on what I am willing to sell for.

Back to the topic at hand; As I posted on another forum, minted silver seems to be holding its purchasing power a bit better than gold at the moment, with a "retail" GSR of around 55:1.

It was in the $19s while I was watching CNBC but looks like it is back into the $20s; wonder if it will be in the teens by the end of the day

The first thought that came to mind was, Wow, that's refreshing!

About as refreshing as pulling a huge chug of milk off the container and then realizing that it is a month past the expiration date.

Heh... I got a fortune cookie yesterday that told me any decision I made that day would be fortunate. I really considered buying a tube of silver eagles, since premiums were reasonable and spot was the lowest I had ever seen it, and June is usually the low for the year. But in the end I decided to wait for lower prices. Guess the fortune cookie was right!

I miss the days of buying sunshines for $5.50 and 1/10th eaglets @32 each. Passing on walkers with a $3 price tag. Only buying morgans at $7 or less. And Folks, I'm just a young toot....We aren't talking about the 70's here...this was the 90's. Surely some old farts will second my thoughts.

My short term price target now is as it was in April = $18

excited to see the burse at Baltimore tomorrow and taste the reaction in the retail pits.

I remember selling 49 1oz AGE's at $328 each. Hell, I even made money on that.

If spot was the lowest you have ever seen it, your observation is anecdotal and too abstract. What seems "lowest" can go lower, same for "highest" going higher.

It was close, but there were lower highs and lower lows all throughout NYMEX trading today. I hate to say it but it looks like we're not through the woods yet. Although we still haven't broken the after hours low yet so there may be a silver lining... ;)
