I did and was happy to see that it had a double die reverse. Was wondering if anyone else had purchased one and had the same results.

I haven't seen one nor have I heard of that yet. Is it a proof or uncirculated? How 'doubled' does it appear to be would you say?
Interesting discovery considering how few are made and that they are allegedly carefully inspected before leaving the mint. I'd sure like to see a picture.

I tried very hard to get a good pic but couldn't. It's mow on it's way to PCGS. The doubling is on the lettering on the bottom of the reverse. Starting gradually on UNUM and getting more prominant on GOLD. My eyes are bad so I can only see with a loop, but would suspect that a person with better eyes could make it out on the 9999 FINE GOLD lettering. I should have it back in about 1 1/2-2 months and will post the results. Oh..the coin was an Unc sample not a proof. I posted here to see if anyone else had the same issue.

It's pretty exciting for you and it should be quite a valuable find. Good luck!
