thanks, looks like each coin weighs 1 oz sterling .925, im getting a melt value around $26-27 a coin?

As I understand how the FM does their medals, they are measured in Troy Oz, and each of these is 1.0, so .925 x $30 = $27.75 ea, intrinisc value, ignoring the bit of gold.

I was told to weigh all of the franklin mint coins. Some people have said that there are variations in weight.

I bought a book that lists all of their products a while back. It tells the weights on some items. Others id does not. There are several good websites that list this as well.

Not my personal cup of tea, as I focus on either .999 bullion or government coin, but for pure value based on silver content, seems reasonable.

Franklin Mint stuff is a lot easier to buy than it is to sell. Very few of the sets are wanted by collectors of any sort. I have some that I either acquired back when silver was a fraction of what it is now or bought them at around 20% discounts. One common complaint is that the weights are inconsistent.

Personally I would rather buy junk at a 6-8% discount than Franklin Mint stuff at a 15% discount.
