Somethings better than nothing

I can't be the only one who gets a little amped by looking at the monthly silver tracking posts. Anyways, I find that lately it has been painful to see what other's are finding and then seeing that my own searches come up so very short. Since I finally found a couple of good supply banks, I'm not enjoying getting skunked a couple weeks in a row.

I want to apologize because I feel this falls into the category of whining, but in my defense getting skunked week after week kind of sucks.

But this week was going to be different. The first box I opened had silver showing on the end of a roll. I even took a picture of the box because it was a treat to see compared to the skunks i'd seen over the last few weeks. Link to the picture -->http://xxjobiiixx.blogspot.com/2012/02/coin-roll-hunting-blues.html. I put that box aside, to save for the end and searched the other boxes. After searching for most of the evening I walked away with a huge... 1 Silver coin.

I really don't think I can look at the tracking pages for a while until the returns get better.

Happy Hunting!

I can tell the silver supply in circulation is diminishing at a fast rate. Some areas are more drie up than others. I love roll hunting, but not sure how much longer I am going to continue since the cost vs benefit is not favorable.

It's fun when things are good. When you're getting skunked this hobby actually can be both a time and money drain (depending on your gas consumption).

I gave it up because it was causing me too much stress. Picking up $10000 a week, sorting thru and returning was taking at least 12 hrs, and I was finding maybe forty bucks worth of silver. I was developing a severe knot of tensed muscle in my back. Just wasn't worth it to me any mor

Yup that's basically my issue too. However if you search while supine you'll avoid a back ache. It is slower searching though.

I was there with beauanderos, things dried up after a couple great years. Competition had increased with the price of silver and I swear the armored car services had also culled the silver. We were getting what they missed at the end I think. Mostly 40% and lucky to get one per box. It all depends on local conditions, volume and.......luck!

Well I'll tell you 0CD you ain't missing much.
WNs and buffs have all but dried up, dimes and getting sparse and halves are a joke.
Mind you I don't do the volume you did, but at least 50% of the time I'm skunked for the week.
I think this will be the last year around here for roll hunting silver.

that's why God made copper.........

This is definitely shaping up to be a poor month, but my finds are following last years pretty close. This month is my worst month since last June, but February 2011 was a bad month for me also and this month is on track to just about match last February. Sort of strange how closely January and February 2012 are to the same months last year. Less 90%, but more 40% so the total ounces are fairly close.
