Anyone have any good ideas about the best way to find 90 percent Silver coins? I will probably save 40% as well, if I find them. I'm thinking Dimes would be the best way to go, by way of searching rolls from the bank. Any better ideas? Thanks.

Well, it's no where near as practical, but I know people who metal detect and find small caches of coins every now and then. Unless your doing it full time, it wouldn't be the best option.

I do a $1000 bag of dimes a week in about one hour and I find between 3-7 silver dime. For me it worth it.

FeeBay is a sure bet, but you'll pay a little more than face value.

Man, I know silver dropped today, but the 40% coins are still worth saving..

Around here I've averaged 1 dime per $250 box and 2 silver halves (both 90 and 40) per $500 box. Dimes are consistent, and halves are hit or miss. Score big or skunk streak of 5+ boxes. Stick with quarters.

I have Sorted both halves an dimes in the past. This winter i decided to buy ;under spot at a small jim buys coins shop an that worked I could walk an see if he had coin an buy my choice of what he had his other option was to drive to smelter an take smelter rates which he regularly used on AU chain an rings.
came home with about 18.00 face 90% and a 1 gram J&M bar. that was in southern AZ. Usually bought about $2.00 under Coinflation melt per OZ. I'm Retired an have time but the fuel for bank runs was up an my Skunk percent was also High


I still sort cents but the percent in AZ is 15%
