Kinda like this dip. I am light in gold right now.......and would love to add a weeee bit more to the stash at each 50-100 dip benchmark. Just thinking.

What's your play?

this is why i'm lighter on gold than silver. gold spot right now is $1652.50 and silver $32.82. so for the spot gold prices i can get 50 ounces of silver. if silver hits $42.82 thats a $500 profit on that 50 ounces. For that same profit gold would need to hit $2152.50. Although this is entirely possible, and i bought just shy of 4 ounces last time it was around this price( $1647 rings a bell), I believe their is more room for profit in silver. If your goal is longer term, as is mine, on gold i do think long term you really should buy during these lower dips. I'm just loving silver right now. Nickel on the other hand is making me :? . if you take that same $1652 and buy nickel at say $10 a pound that gets you 165 pounds and if the price hits $14 you would make a $660 profit. Wow did I get off topic fast. Yes buy gold in the dips but remember the other metals as well. Jesh imagine gold under $1600 again. THis would be a good one to watch. profits to be had, short and long.

Tax time comes with burdensome payments for me so I won't be adding in this dip unless it stays until May :)

I'll be backing up the Tonka truck* later tonight or tomorrow.

* Tonka trucks, when full, carry approximately 5 ounces. Of silver.

Insightful on the the load that Tonka trucks could carry. I thought I was the only one that thought about things like that.

If you look at slick's picture really closely, you'll notice she's also displaying some Tonka trucks. :D

So Spot has slid even further today. But spirits still seem to be high......at least in this thread.

buying silver right now. its still the better buy at a 51 GSR. am lighter on one than the other, but will balance things out when the GSR dips into the 30s again.

It's a good intermediate time to buy - gold or silver. On the other hand, if you're one of those that has been sitting on the sidelines for months, then you've already missed 2-3 even better dips, so I predict you'll miss this one as well, and after its over you'll curse yourself, but swear you'll will certainly buy the next dip! ;)

I loaded up on some more options today and yesterday (I always strike a little too quickly).

The option premiums are nice and big again so unless silver stays at $25/ounce forever I'm going to profit nicely :)

And I still stand by the statement I made about a year ago now: We will NEVER see under $25 silver again.

with spot the way it was today, the cheapest ASE locally was $35/oz... my other local options were $37-$39/oz :(
I wish I could buy for a buck or two over spot like all you other guys :(

The bottom line is all about perception!

for silver to go from 32.82 to 42.82 is exactly the same... 30%... of gold going from 1652 to 2152.

for nickel to go from 10 to 14, it has to gain 40%!

bottom line is that you do what you think is right!
