I found a '67 Kennedy today that looks like a regular clad half. I only noticed it because it was a little shiny. I edge check, should I check the date on all of them? Is this common? I thought maybe someone painted it, but its an awfully straight line. What do you guys think? I'll post a pic when I get home.

If I am not mistaken the core of the 40% is a copper/silver alloy and the outside is clad with 90% silver. It is not uncommon to see the 40% with the stripes. I do not date sort them. I sort by sight and sound.

1. Edge sort.
2. Rund the stack through your hands one or twice. If there is a silver in there you will hear it.

I doubt that you will miss any using this combination.

^ I think the inner core is about 20% and the outside is about 80% for a total of 40%.
