:idea: Some maps show undersea canyons continuing out to sea from rivers on land, probably cut during the glacial maximums. I bet there's a lot of placer gold down there. :shock:

Exactly what i was thinking. The raging floods from glacier melt could have moved some very big nuggets. There could be 200lb boulders of gold in some of those placer deposits.

Well, I have seen some BIG boulders that must weigh several tons, glacial erratics, that had a strange surface, and later discovered they look exactly like tremolite with the rind intact (nephrite: fake jade, but still lots and lots and lots of $). Never got back to take a closer look at them.
