I love silver!
As you may know my son Franklin who is 15 and has autism has sorted cents for four years asked today if we could get a box of dimes ,nickels and cents today. The other day Franklin found his first war nickel and as he can not read found that large "D" was easy to find also I taught him how to edge sort so he said today he want to look for the large "D","P",S. And also look for the beavers and bluenose and the silvers. Also for my younger son who is the reader we are going to get today a dime Whitman for the bingo game. I will post what we find.

Great! Keep us updated. I tried searching nickles for maybe two months. Kept all the pre 1960s and war nickles. I found a few V nickels too. I decided to concentrate more on pennie for now but I'm sure I'll pick up some nickles from time to time.

Very cool indeed. But can't help to add some funny things to the title.

What every father want to hear his son say---
-Just finished mowing the yard dad. You want me to wash the car now?
-I have saved enough money to buy my own first car.
-Heres your coffee, How would you like your eggs?
-I won the powerball jackpot, want to fly the coin show circuit with me?
-Look at these gold nuggets I found in the creek behind the house.

Henrymedford,
You found something that you and your sons have in common. Congratulations. I have two daughters and they think I am a little off collecting pm as I do. Will see when this collection of metallic goodies falls into their hands. How they feel, than.

We looked at $250 more and got a 1963-D. At list rate we will have to look at 12K FV to fill the books.

Joe, That's really cool that you & the boys are working on a set of Roosevelt dimes from circulation. I did one when i was a kid in the early 70's--found them all except the 55-S! I've been wanting to get a 1909-1940 Lincoln cent album & see how many I can find in circulation. Been working on a set of Jefferson nickels for 20 years and am down to the 38 D & S, 39 D & S, 50 D & a couple war nickels.

We started a wild Lincoln cent whitman set three years ago and have 19 left. We also have a wild Canadian Whitman's 1920-date and need 14 more. So in 2012 it still can be done.

You boys probably didn't even try dime rolls. Probably pulled those five from penny rolls. :)

Today one of the banks we go to sold us a $500 bag off the counter. We got three silvers and our first Mercury dime. We have been on the dime folder filling for a week and now have all 65-date and 7 silver Roosevelt's and one Mercury dime.
