How much does a $250.00 box of dimes weigh? What about a $500.00 box of halves?

Assuming minty fresh specimens.

A $250 box of clad dimes weighs 12.5 lbs.
A $250 box of Ag dimes weighs 13.77 lbs.

A $500 box of clad halves weigh 25 lbs.
A $500 box of .400 halves weigh 25.35 lbs.
A $500 box of .900 halves weigh 27.55 lbs.

Plus the weight of the wrappers and cardboard.

I'm pretty sure clad dimes, quarters, and halves are the same at 50# per $1K face.

In 90%, they'd be a bit over 55# per $1K face

90% fraction is exactly 25 g per $ or $40 per kg. $1000 face is 25 kg.

In my case I find too much pie expands my radius. ;)
