Yep, it's a hell hole now and will always be.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

Poverty in most parts of the world has much more to do with corrupt government rather then evil companies...

Government officials trying to fleece businesses, or businesses trying to use gov't to destroy competition, but corruption in gov't either way.

The people who made the most money during gold rushes, are merchants. Hopefully the Haitians invest in more farming, and then they could sell food to the "rich" miners. Then eventually the Haitians will be able to feed themselves.
