Local bank has a promo to open any accounts. Free ounce silver coin for free checking account plus
$75. Second ounce for adding a savings account. Typical reeded .999's with “We The People” US Constitution Commemorative like the US Mint silver dollar commemorative.
Bank name on the other side.
This local bank just got in trouble and merged but has a long history of one ounce coins given and sold to customers. In the past the designs were different and they were always nicely minted.
I was on the way home and remembered a friend saying something and now I have my cheap thrill glow of adding to the stack. Came in AirTite’s today. In the past little velvet bags.
Limited minting to 5000, lol.
http://www.wilmingtontrust.com/silver/Every time I use the ATM card, I enter to win some ambiguous amount of silver weightwise.
$10,000 in Silver reads the ad. I know the coins that came with the accounts can be sold for $33 something a pop and a customer can buy five. So how many actual ounces will be received and of what form is anyone’s guess. The banker said no one asked the kinds of questions I asked including anything about the silver the winner would take.
I declined but note that with a mintage of only five thousand, the pool entering the promotion will be small. Worth a shot.
