Was this a good deal?

Well, picked up the following this morning:

1- 2010 Silver Eagle $28.00
1-1964 Half $10.00
1-1967 Half $ 4.00
----------------------------------
$42.00

At Friday's prices, that's not too bad a margin over spot.
My purchase totals to $41.28 according to coinflation.com
What do you guys think? Good, Bad, OK, Sucker, etc...

Not bad. That's going to be about the new going rate, soon, for someone who scored a good deal. Image Pick up what's affordable for you while you still have the chance... once silver explodes over $30 there will be no stopping it and supply will dry up quick.

Anytime you can pay around melt value for just a couple coins, you are doing well. Getting the Eagle for less than $30 was nice too.

Forgive me everyone, where are my manners...

New member here, i've been lurking for a few weeks.
This is a great site and i'm happy to be a member now.

I a new collector (2-weeks) and really wish I would've started
several years ago when prices were lower - but we all had
to start somewhere. Anyway, Hello All!

Check out the comments on the article about apmex and you can verify its true.

All in all, i think you got a fair deal, especially premiums are slightly higher on smaller purchases and your at about melt

Actually a small indoor flea-market. I've been there several times in the past, before I
started hoarding/collecting. I remembered that there used to be 2 coin dealers there
and sure enough, they were both there. Not too bad I guess.

Luckily I did a little research before I went and expected to pay a little above melt value.

Hi helix,

Welcome aboard. I've only been here a few months myself and your right it is a great site a lot of knowledge here. A year from now someone will be saying the same thing that they wish they got in when silver was cheap around $27.00 a oz.
I just wanted to say say.
Joe

Welcome man! I'm just getting ready to watch the movie from your avatar on comcast on-demand...

You'll be surprised how quickly your hoard will accumulate. The holidays are a good time to do a little coin roll hunting...maybe you can get some at face value.
