We've had a nice little run recently. What do you think? Will silver power on and stay above $30? Or will "Meet the Fokkers" be playing again soon, at a JPMorgan theater near you?

Going higher.... This solid rise should be in earnest up to the FED meeting on September 12. Further increases will depend on their announcement at that time. I anticipate, between now and then, two more weeks that PMs move higher.

Tomorrow (Friday), some traders will be taking profits off the table so as to not ride out the weekend.
If this is so, then expect a pop on the open Monday.

OK gang, I know we say we want silver to stay sub-$30 for as long as possible for accumulation purposes, but man, I was growing weary of watching it flatline in that 27-28 area. In a very self-serving way, I want it to go up. Not too quickly, but I bought way too much SLV in my IRA and while it hasn't hit my sell-stop, I am down (well, actually, not any more as of this very second). Been milking selling covered calls luckily (though the premiums have been pretty cheesy). So, maybe now that we have a dead cat bounce, we can hold $30/ounce as a new consolidation for a while.

OK, I am done ranting.
