Ok so just to let you guys know this guy is not related to me nor my parish in any way. He is also not affiliated with us in anyway nor is he donating anything to us. This is something I tried that worked. This company is offering a free grain of silver for signing up to their newsletter. I signed up and sure enough I received a grain of silver and a coupon code. The link is below. Scroll down to the end of the page to see his offer. God Bless You

That grain of silver is worth about six cents, so make sure to keep your excitement in context. :D

So what would 1 grain of gold be worth....many years ago a gold dealer sent a plastic card with the company name and one grain of gold embedded in the plastic card (the card is the size of a credit card). It says 1 grain .999 fine gold. I know its worth more than the 1 grain of silver, but can someone do the math for this mathmatically challenged old coot? Thanks!

31.1 grams in 1 ozt
15.4 grains in 1gm

1700/31.1/15.4=$3.54

Jas.. I like your math... I WISH silver was $1700/oz....

$32/ 31.1g /15.4 grains = $0.066 per grain!

BTW.. I signed up for the newsletter, and they said that they would send a confirmation email... never got it.

No problem. I'll have some time to do it tomorrow. It's not worth much but its free. Free is everyone's favorite price.

Agreed. Catch one of our giveaways sometime. We usually give away a few grams of silver to 20-30 RC members around each holiday. Our last giveaway was around the fourth of July... gave away a couple silver flag bars per person. Not much... but like you said... its free!

real gold nuggets sell for a premium over the gold spot price. Sometimes, if it's a nice specimen they can go for several times the spot price.
