I ordered one today. Kept my chat with the guy short.

No problem experience.

$10 is a good deal for sure. Did you call a # or just fill out the online form?

I now make a point of not responding to these come on offers unless I seriously intend to do business other than the offer from them. Base on their bullion prices that doesn't seem likely to ocur.

Is it just because of them calling you constantly or a just your personal preference Ardent?

So then you're willing to bet $10 that they won't rescind the offer on you when they are flooded with responses that exceed the 100 or 200 ASE's they probably have on hand?

For a limited time the United States Gold Bureau is also offering new subscribers one Silver Eagle for FREE. You only have to pay $9.95 for shipping and handling. This is a limited time offer, so sign up today. We reserve the right to discontinue the offer at any time or to honor it only for legitimate investors considering a move in the precious metals market.

In fact, this might be their means of financing the promotion. For instance, they have 100 real silver eagles to give away ("proof" that the offer is legitimate) but they accept 300 applications, before informing applicants 101-300 (or far more) that "Sorry, but that promotion has ended." Of course, you had already submitted your $9.95, which surprisingly, they will fail to refund. Hmmmm, could that happen? Nah, probably not.

I just called. Others have said that they told USGB that they were just calling for the coin and were told no problem.

I just chatted.

I'm also going to pass on this one.I totaly agree with beauanderos. I sent for the 2 ASE's for $23.00 ea. and recieved them and they look great, but this for free and only pay $9.95 shipping and handling and everything beauanderous pointed out makes it just not sound right to me so I'm going to pass. I just went back and read they're add again and it sounds like you are signing up for they're subscription for The Gold Monitor for FREE and just paying the $9.95 shipping and handling and they will also give you a ASE for a limited time ect. ect. Thanks anyway for the tip.

Both, I don't like to have my name as a silver buyer out there too much. Also, though such offers are fair game they can't make them without making up for it off of someone else. Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging those who jump on them. It is just that it really isn't worth doing so anymore to me. I may even pass on such offers to the rest of you if I come across them.

They do want to sell 5 or more gold coins or 100 or more Silver.

I'm going to ask if they want the slab back? because I'm not sending $10,000 to Texas for slabs an their mark up :(

Will be adding to stack but thru local coin shops.

After my earlier comment, I decided to play devil's advocate and check this out. I filled out their questionnaire online and stated that I wanted marketing materials to pass among colleagues. I got a phone call early the next day, and since I wasn't in a rush, talked with the guy. We talked for about twenty minutes about everything precious metals... until he was ready to hang up on me. I ordered my eagle just before that happened. Sounds to me like they're really more interested in selling gold than silver, and will sell bullion, but are more interested in promoting slabbed eagles which bring a higher, though dubious, premium. I got my eagle, and I'll pass their brochures to a friend who wants to buy from me, as I'm not selling at these prices. Image

I got the same thing. They really push the slabbed. Somehow I was on their website and found something of another free silver offer for a one ounce buffalo round. I submitted another request and will see what happens, Ill take it for 9.95
