I have been patiently waiting for these to come out for quite a while. I got the email last night from APMEX showing the price of $1395 for what amounts to 25 oz. This is essentially a 90% premium to the spot price of $29.35. So that means in the future, if silver goes to $50 or $100 an ounce, these coins would still have to trade at a 90% premium to whatever the future spot price is. If not, then you are better off buying whatever quantity of silver you can right now for $1395.

This is my reluctant conclusion. I wanted to figure out how these things will be a good investment, but I just don't see it.

I didn't even see them go on sale.......I am not happy with the mints distribution of these coins.....matter of fact I think it's a bunch of bull [shucks]. F### the mint. I wanted a set. Why not sell them direct to the public? I mean WTF?

I need to go chill.

Yeah, the retail sellers jacked up the price and gouged the market. Freakin' government adding too many middlemen.

With the way silver is moving up already tonight, maybe that premium isn't too bad at all:

Gold $1,412.30 $1,413.30 $7.10
Silver $29.63 $29.68 $0.41
Platinum $1,724.70 $1,734.70 $5.20
Palladium $765.80 $770.80 $0.70

and people are look at the sales they are selling out and look at the price it is real steep.the gov gives these to a select group of sellers and then issues a statment like tht article i gave a link to they know what there doing they are creating a market by only releasing so many rounds and these f%#$^ers charging such a premium i bet next time around they release 100x as many its all about hype :x eerrr thats my angry face

Wonder how many have been produced? Could be a rare mintage. From my understanding on the bill is they have to produce these by year end and they are done.
