Not necessarily, due to ebay fees these lots do tend to go for much more than melt value.

Currently going for 140% of spot price. Hmmmm. I still think it is the wording in the auction title.

I have some Ebay bucks to redeem. Maybe prices go up at the near end of the bucks' redemption period because many don't care if they overspend the spot value big-time just as long as they use the bucks?

Title was misleading... however, the winning price per coin was $4.68 each. As of the moment, they're valued at $4.67 on coinflation.

Did you notice that in the Detailed Item Info (located above the description) the auction was listed as 1964 Kennedy half dollars with a 90% silver content. That should have been flagged.
