Vaulating jewelry?

Postby schockergd » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:18 am

Recently have come into some gold (10k) jewelry and am trying to figure the best way to value & liquidate.

One of the pieces appears to be emerald, two have a good deal of diamonds. I'm sure I could get at/near spot for the gold value, but am sort of interested in the value of the rings based on metal value & gem value. I could take them to a jeweler for an appraisal, but i've heard they're not worth anything.

good luck selling any jewelry for more than spot, I've never been able to get anything for the stones unless it was a 1/4 carat or bigger diamond.
