I remember seeing this topic talked about but I have not been able to find the discussion.
I know that PVC (The same PVC that is used in water pipes) will damage and destroy silver. What other materials will damage silver? I want to make a "pipe safe" and burry it. What pipe materials are non reactive with gold, silver, nickel, copper, steel, and gun powder? (The would be in firearms and bladded weapons).

Polyethylene or polypropylene would be good. You just want to avoid anything with chlorine/chloride (also known as bleach).

ABS pipe (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) might be good. I normally comes in wide diameters too. You can glue caps on the ends like PVC.
