Excellent find! I aways check the hallmarks when I go to thrift shops. You never know.

I always check the silverware and platters at thrift stores and yard sales but I've never found any real silver. NICE score!

I posted the story of my half blind 89 year old mother at a yard sale last fall... she bought a set of stainless silverware for 7 dollars and called me that night..it was a sterling set for 8,,,,,, She has been beaming ever since...

WOW that is outrageous. Surprisingly I still have not found a set of sterling silverware at a tag sale. I go to a LOT of them.
