Hey guys (and gals) !

I'm trying to compile a list of commercial name-brand non governmental silver manufacturer's of rounds and bars. Here is what I got so far, and please correct me if I am wrong. I think this would help a lot of us when we go to a coin shop looking to purchase silver.

Please add any other names I have forgotten on the list:

APMEX
A-Mark
Credit Suisse
Engelhard
Johnson Matthey
Northwest Territorial Mint / Pan American Silver
Scottsdale Silver
Silvertowne
Sunshine Minting

Someone here pointed out that approximately 300 million ASEs have been minted since their inception in 1986. Are there any estimates as to how many ounces have been minted by these private companies (bars included)?

Well I know for every 1 ASE I always seem to see 5 to 10 Generics

Lots of private companies with no production limits trying to turn as much profit as possible by selling goods? Who knows- but I am sure a crazy amount

I thought I read somewhere that there is 1 billion ozs. of investment silver. With all these silver types is that possible? Just in ase's and 90% I would think that number is to low. Sorry if I posted on the wrong thread. Was just reading all these silver co. names and my wheels started turning.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. There's no way it can be true. Makes me question the accuracy of a lot of pro-silver articles I read...
