For those who question whether silver and gold may or may not outpace inflation... this is what it has done since 2003. btw, I only plugged in silver. According to the CPI, an ounce of silver, which sold at $4.50 an ounce in 2003... would have to be selling at... AT LEAST $5.59 to have kept up with inflation!!! :?

Indeed silver has kept up with inflation quite nicely. As we all know Govt numbers are junk and we know real inflation is running higher, they tend to use a CPI index without food or Energy
Even using their CPI with food and energy its wimpy at best- lets say at 10% Inflation a year Silver was still beat it right?

Yeah, the point being that silver has not risen in price in response to inflation, and may be massively overvalued
