For those who question whether silver and gold may or may not outpace inflation... this is what it has done since 2003. btw, I only plugged in silver. According to the CPI, an ounce of silver, which sold at $4.50 an ounce in 2003... would have to be selling at... AT LEAST $5.59 to have kept up with inflation!!!

Indeed silver has kept up with inflation quite nicely. As we all know Govt numbers are junk and we know real inflation is running higher, they tend to use a CPI index without food or Energy
Even using their CPI with food and energy its wimpy at best- lets say at 10% Inflation a year Silver was still beat it right?

Yeah, the point being that silver has not risen in price in response to inflation, and may be massively overvalued

and my wages have remained flat.
