I've argued with some very arrogant individuals who think my admitting to have researched how I've been fooled and why I fell for some scams indicate that I will continue to fall for scams. (Okay, but I have a chance to avoid it.) They, on the other hand cannot possibly be tricked.

If you read biographies and auto biographies of con artists, they LOVE people who are sure they cannot be fooled. Some specialize in scamming MDs and lawyers.
