If I could remember my ebay password, I'd ask them if all of the nickels were silver.

How did you come out Clint? Any reply from the seller about 35% war nickels. I bet not. May I ask, who was the one bidder? Some poor soul who didn't know better I would guess.

Some poor person bid $30.00 for $14.50 worth of coins. Plus he is charging $12.00 shipping so really the person is paying $42.00 for $14.50 worth of coins. You could ship those coins in a padded envelope for about $3.00

From the looks of the sellers feedback I don't think he is trying to scam any one I think he probably is just ignorant as to what he is selling.

The winning bidder is in for a huge disappointment. Also, I counted 40 nickels, not 50.

My dad, God bless him, also used to think 1964 and earlier nickels had some silver value. I remember him checking his change when I was little and telling me to do the same when I got my first job at McDonalds in 1983. Once someone told me, I told him. He wasn't happy about taking all those rolls of nickels to the bank for face value. Lol.

Didn't get any reply. I told him that he would be responsible if the buyer realized that none of his nickels were silver.

You know, I was just thinking.....if you wanted to know which US nickels were made from silver, why wouldn't you look it up before posting it to Ebay?

Just sayin' :P

Many folks I talk with think ALL coins 1964 and older are silver and that pennies 1964 and older are worth more than those 1965 and later (not talking wheats and zincs). A friend on mine's dad just passed away and he had a stack of 1964 stuff but most was pennies and nickles, very little silver.
