It's gotta be the Japanese. The Yen has collapsed recently from 80/$ to 100/$. When your currency collapses, and your bonds collapse and you got boatloads of FIAT, wouldn't this response in PMs make sense? The Japanese stockmarket is ON-FIRE because of the this! If I'm correct, and since the PM markets are small, we will see a massive move higher from here.

Early yet, but my guesses on your silver contest are looking pretty good now. First time I have ever been on the top end of the list.

What does green indicate again? It has been so long I forgot. Well I should have bought the shiny I was looking at yesterday, but I am already low FRN's because I was buying on the way down. Good to see a nice upswing on this ride. 8-)

It seems there is a spike one way or the other at least 3 times a week so it's not super newsworthy :)

Now if the +15.60 was on silver, now THAT would be newsworthy :)

It depends on the scale. Change the scale and it's "just" a joggle, already capped by TPTB. A true spike would be 27 to 35 in less than a day.

Not trying to be a downer about it. On the bright side it does point to and continue to confirm the floor that exists under PMs.

No. No. No. The spike is because I sold most of my gold yesterday, at a loss.

I'm going to research this later but I don't have time to right now... maybe someone on here already has the answer I'm looking for.

What is the best ETF to take advantage of the yen losing it's value. I would be willing to wager that over the next 2 years (maybe even sooner than that) the yen will keep losing in comparison to the USD. I think this could be a great medium to long term play. Basically we are sinking but the Jap's are going to sink faster.

I need to see $29.08 just to get back to even on my latest paper play. This rally is more than welcome here.

I totally agree with Mr. Kyle Bass in the video link above. What's his track record been like in the past?

Japanese Yen ETF The Japanese Yen has been a popular currency over the years. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s it has the lowest interest rate interest rate of all the developed nations, this attracted a lot of carry traders trying to profit from the low rates. Some Japanese Yen exchange traded funds include:

•JYN – iPath JPY / USD Exchange Rate ETN
•JYF – WisdomTree Dreyfus Japanese Yen ETF
•FXY – CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust

Sell these short in your margin account.

Or....

YCS - double short Japanese Yen

and actually, Mike... you'll need to get alot higher than $29.08 to break even if you were playing leveraged ETF's... they degrade pretty fast on down days. You might need to see $30 or $31 :?
