Platinum has a stronger floor than silver

I just noticed platinum hasn't been under $1,400 since fall 2009. It's tested that level 3 times and held so far. That's a longer-holding floor than silver had. Might be a good way to preserve wealth?
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

I like platinum. I only have a little but I am not selling any. Maybe if it gets near $2000.
