I got a couple of emails saying the mint was going to accept orders on Jan 3 for delivery late Jan. Must be true as I see the pre-sales already on EBay for around $40. What I did not see was the price from the mint anybody got the info?

Here are the subscriptions on the US Mint's web site. It is showing $25.95 for unc. and $45.95 for proofs.

$25.95? I don't get it. Must be making them half ounces now.

I thought $25.95 was too good to be true as well so I checked it out. Turns out that was the price in 2008 and they have not updated it since they have not released the uncirculated version since then. the subscription costs $0, but it doesn't guarantee you anything right now. They will be priced accordingly whenever they release them and just email the people with the subscription the cost. I got all this info from a us mint sales person when I called to try to order these at $25.95 each after the website was coming up at $0.00

If they do get priced at $30 for uncs and $42 for proofs, which do you think would be the better buy? Anybody got any updates on prices?

Generally they would be at a significant premium to spot and the mint sales person said they would not sell them at a loss, so if spot is ~31, then they would be 31+whatever premium they use.
