I haven't seen something like this, since the hell around the USS Cole....where the IJ's blew a hole in the Cole AND kicked up their little intifada, anew, in Israel...it was that day, those mutts thru two Israeli UC officers out the window in Ramallah........Crude was trading like this,,,,front month, up 2.72, then Oct up 2.54, Nov up 2.20, Dec up 1.87, Jan up 1.69....you RARELY see the front spreads move like that.......supply disruptions yeh....but also any kind of geopolitical nightmares a brewing........what kind of nightmare?...maybe the NON 'muslim brotherhood' Egyptian Army DOES NOT have that firm a hold on power....OR....Israel strikes Iran.....OR US/EU makes the Syrian move....which would be bad, because Russia/China have CLEARLY stated sych a move will not be "tolerated".

the short of it?....Crude is trading spooky, imho.

Supposedly EROEI (energy return on energy invested) is on the uptick, and with an apparent rotation out of bonds underway commodities could be due. I would think Egypt is the biggest catalyst right now though, but there's no shortage of factors... not sure what to think about the day to day movements as I don't watch oil charts much and don't have the context.
