Love my local shop!

He was selling ASE at $32 when spot was over $31 earlier today.
All premium one ounce rounds are also $32
Generics were $30. Maybe he didn't check silver since before new years and went heavy on the celebration.

I celebrated!

I picked up these items, all slabbed MS70:

2010 DCAM Australia Koala
1993 DCAM Australia Kookaburra
1992 DCAM Australia Kookaburra
2011 Canada Silver Wolf
2010 Austria Philharmonic

Total: $160 w/ no tax in Delaware

Also picked up a case of all 11 Wartime Nickels, uncirculated, for $65

Very Happy!

Got some visible date standing liberty quarters from my lcs last week at melt. Stopped in on a whim, not much paper in my pocket  . So I'm gonna go back tomorrow (Tues) get a few more and some Barber dimes and maybe some 80% Canadian dimes on the cheap.

I find my dealer always just putting stuff in the cases that he just bought from those coming into the shop and marking up a couple bucks.

Does a lot of volume in cash and has tons of repeat customers.

He often sells me stuff at grey sheet or just above for numis.

Never gouges on bullion.

Silver is silver and gold is gold to him.

He plays a tight spread and earms on volume.

He sure gets a lot of my $$$

We both make out.

All were slabbed by ANACS, OK not PCGS or NGC but they look flawless and nice cases. It's bullion after all.

i went into my closest coin shop over the week-end for the first time.
i asked about pre 30's wheat pennies.
1st he quoted me $10 a roll, i countered with 3 rolls for $20.
he asked if i was from new york,[i'm originally from outside of chicago]
then he told me he didn't like new yorkers + the price is $20 a roll.
i thought we could have become friends but now, i won't be going there again

Local shop only carries ASE's. No premium silver. I have to drive 40 miles for Maples, etc.

I usually pay about the same as ASEs it depends on the shop as to the price most shops by me are $1.50 -2.50 over spot
