hmm... I was just reading and researching more because I hate all of the negative gold articles.

A talent of silver would pay a skilled craftsman’s wages for nine years, while a gold talent would pay for 270 years of such work.


The ancient Greek GSR was 30:1

Using today's gold price, silver would be $46.67

Using today's silver price, gold would be $722.70

Using equivalent buying power gold would be something like $15000 and silver $500
