A local guy responded to my craigslist ad saying he has 500 war nicks to sell. What discount on spot is the usual to pay for these coins?

Apmex is giving 1.15.. if it was me I would only offer .95-1.00. but, that's just me.

Buy them for $1 each.
Be prepared to say no and walk away if he wants more.

I told him I'd buy 200 of them for a dollar each. He said ok, but he is in a nearby town and it will be a few days before he comes to my town. I probably could get all 500 of them for that price.

I bought War nickels from a LCS in town for $1 a piece back when silver was around $32/oz. You probably could get all 500 of them for less than $1.

I'm buying 200 for the hoard for $200. A member has asked me to buy another 200 for him; he offered $205 for 195 of those. So I'll have $5 for his postage, and an extra 5 Wnicks for the hoard. The only hitch is he needs to come into town before Friday to meet with me, so I'm not sure if its even going to work out at all at this point.
