Advice on Converting Gift Card to Silver

A while back I got a significant amount of cash loaded on a Visa Gift Card from work as a bonus for completing a project. I took it to a local PM dealer to buy ASEs, but they wouldn't take the gift card. They said they have been given fake cards, ending up shafted while the thief walks away with their silver. I've been sitting on the gift card ever since, not knowing how to use it to buy silver. The card is 100% legit. Has anyone run into this, and any advice on how I can I convert the card to silver while the price is so low? Thanks!

you can always just buy online. You can buy off of ebay or you could buy off of a PM dealer online like Provident or SilverTowne. You would have to pay some shipping, but at least you would be able to buy them.

I'm not sure how much money is on the card but you could use it to buy groceries then
use the cash you otherwise would have spent on groceries to buy the silver. Of course
if it's a huge amount that would take a long time. Maybe enlist some friends or family
to help with this cashing out.

A guy on BS is looking for a good deal on a discounted Visa card. You could sell to him for 5% under and use the cash for metals. Or you could just use it to buy metals directly.

Thanks everyone, such cool members here. I guess I just assumed since the local seller wouldn't take it, that the big internet sellers would reject it too. But I tried it for a small online purchase and it went through no problem. Looks like I gots some silver shoppin to do! Thanks again guys.
