There is an error in the article. Says to keep all pennies from 82 back. Better to say 1981 if you don't want to explain the switch over.

I agree with this quote, but would add that if you have a gram scale (costs about $10), then you can separate the non-desirable zincs (2.6 grams) from the collectible coppers (3.1 grams).

I meant to add that the weighing is only needed for 1982 Lincoln pennies.
